Proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights

Clients approach the firm when filing a complaint for reasons of eliminating the risk that the Court will not deal with their complaint on grounds of inadmissibility. It is also possible to utilize counseling for a potential complaint. The obligation to be represented appears if the Court calls upon the government to present a written opinion on the complaint and in case of an oral hearing.

The firm has sufficient knowledge of English as the Court´s official language.

Neither the filing of a complaint or the proceedings before the Court is subject to a charge. In case of success in the matter the Court can acknowledge the reimbursement of expenses on a national level and in proceedings before the Court. The Court acknowledges reimbursement only in relation to the expenses created with regard to the violation of the agreement. In case of the complaint´s failure the state´s expenses are not reimbursed.
